Scope and Influence of Procurement & Supply

On completion of this module, learners will be able to identify the key stakeholders in the application of the sourcing process and analyze the procurement cycle, evaluating the influence that procurement and supply have as a source of added value for the organization.

Defining Business Needs in Procurement and Supply

On completion of this module, learners will be able to devise a business case for requirements to be externally sourced and will understand the role of market management and competitive forces as they specify goods and services in procurement and supply.

Commercial Contracting

On completion of this module, learners will be able to describe the key elements and legal aspects of formal commercial contracts, and analyze and interpret the fundamentals of specifications and key performance indicators that are included in contractual arrangements made with suppliers.

Ethical and Responsible Sourcing

On completion of this module, learners will be able to explain the options and associated processes available for sourcing with external suppliers. They will also examine the legal and ethical impact and the implications of corporate social responsibility, on the final sourcing decision.

Commercial Negotiation

On completion of this module learners will be able to identify approaches to successfully achieving negotiated commercial agreements with external organisations.

Supplier Relationships

On completion of this module, learners will be able to analyse the dynamics
of supplier relationships, examine the processes and procedures for working with stakeholders and appreciate the concept of partnering.

Whole Life Asset Management

On completion of this module, learners will be able to explain methods of inventory storage and control and to analyse the concept of whole life cost from concept to disposal.

Procurement and Supply in Practice

On completion of this module, learners will be able to demonstrate the practical application of the key elements of the procurement cycle in an integrated manner and within a workplace context.

Has over 17 years of experience in procurement in international FMCG and agrarian companies (InBev, Nestle etc) Inna developed and implemented procurement business processes for InBev in Europe, supervised SAP procurement module implementation in Ukraine, is responsible for the building of one of the first procurement centers in Ukraine, which provides supplies of indirect materials and services by InBev to several countries, developed and implemented a system of optimal commodity contracting at Nestle Ukraine. She is an expert in procurement processes optimization and in implementation of effective business partnerships. She is a proved tutor of CIPS programme in Ukraine.

Sergii Dovgalenko, FCIPS, is a procurement practitioner, consultant, and CIPS Direct Associate with 20+ years of experience across different industries (telco, IT, aviation, railways, oil & gas, water, and electricity transport and distribution) and geographies (Ukraine, Middle East, Africa, Azerbaijan). As a consultant, Sergii worked with leading IT development and outsourcing companies in Ukraine, oil and gas and energy network operators, a copper mining and production conglomerate in Kazakhstan, a leading Ukrainian e-retailer, and many more. As a member of Etihad Airways procurement team, he won the 2015 and 2017 CIPS Middle East Awards. He led Ukrainian Railways to become the first government company shortlisted for the CIPS Global Awards 2020. Sergii is a certified tutor of CIPS.

He worked with CIPS in Ukraine and the UAE on several consulting and training delivery assignments. His bespoke training course is included in the CIPS Skills Training portfolio. He moderates the blog “The Good Spending” and authored “The Technology Procurement Handbook”
